Please read these Terms carefully before using VNportal. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of VNportal, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using VNportal on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
VNportal is a vinyl-centric music platform that provides the following features to registered users:
- Exhibit — a personal vinyl record gallery where you can press and curate albums.
- Find Vinyl — a global music database search powered by MusicBrainz.
- Recreation — an in-browser DJ mixing environment for Spotify-connected users.
- Song Studio — an AI-assisted music arrangement workspace.
- Lyrics — synced lyric display for any searched track.
- Cover Studio, DIY Vinyl, Games, Workshop, Blog — additional creative and community tools.
3. Account Registration
You must register an account to access most features. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current registration information.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts at our discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use VNportal only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use VNportal to infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from VNportal's APIs or databases.
- Use VNportal to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content.
- Circumvent any rate limits or technical restrictions in place.
- Use VNportal in any way that violates Spotify's Developer Terms of Service when the Spotify integration is active.
5. Third-Party Integrations
VNportal connects to third-party services including Spotify, MusicBrainz, Jamendo, and Supabase. Your use of those integrations is subject to those services' own terms and privacy policies. VNportal is not responsible for any changes, downtime, or policy updates made by those third parties that may affect your experience.
Spotify Premium is required for full playback functionality within VNportal's Recreation and Exhibit features due to Spotify's API limitations.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding of VNportal — including the name, logo, UI, and original features — are the intellectual property of VNportal and its developers. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
Music metadata, album art, and track data displayed on VNportal are sourced from third-party databases (MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive, Spotify) and remain the property of their respective rights holders.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create on VNportal, including vinyl collection curation, Song Studio arrangements, and Cover Studio artwork. By uploading or creating content on VNportal, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process that content for the purpose of delivering the service to you.
We do not claim ownership over your personal data or creations. You may export or delete your content at any time by contacting us.
8. Termination
You may stop using VNportal and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if we determine that you have violated these Terms, without prior notice in cases of serious violations.
Upon termination, your access to the service will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
VNportal is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. During early access, features may change or be removed without notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VNportal and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, lost profits, or service interruptions — arising from your use of or inability to use VNportal.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of VNportal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
